September 2000 'Paint Spots'
by Jeri StoneBy the time you read this Zone One and Zone Two Shows will be history and we will be looking forward to many of the outstanding futurities that are in the fall here in Zone One. There are many Stallion Service Auction Futurities, the OPHB Triple Crown, Washington Bred, Oregon Bred, Alberta and Idaho Futurities for halter and riding and several others. I hope to have as many of these results as I can in the October edition of PAINT SPOTS.
GOOD NEWS: If you have not already heard - Roger and Sally Saur's tack and equipment has been found. The first week of August a man was out working his dogs in a field where he had worked them the day before - found the tack dumped in a pile. He called the police and they called Roger. He called Sally at the Rainier Paint Horse Club Show and she had to call him back a couple of times to believe they had been so lucky. There are still three saddles missing but all their bits, etc. that could not be replaced and her customer's saddles were found. Good things do happen to good people.
