The Arabian: a poem
The Arabian stands so noble and proud, Jumping, frolicking about in the crowd,
I watch him so closely, I become spellbound,
He gets so wild, fastly covering ground.
He trots looking sideways as if looking in a mirror,
Prancing & snorting, fleet as a deer.
He bucks & he rears, he looks so fair,
Now he's trying to kick that old mare.
I watch him walk up to the hay,
Then he jumps in the air sideways.
People watch him like he's a freak,
But I know it's just his wild streak.
I finally clue in then run to get my camera,
I think to myself he's probably already to Panama.
But when I come back he's asleep like a block,
So I go and put my camera away, about as slow as a rock.
I walk down once more & he's up running again,
Wild and free, wind in his mane.
I watch with awe thinking he must have it planned,
Well I guess I'll just watch, no pictures, Man!
